MEET EMPLOYEE #001

Vignesh Dayalan, Principal Consultant at capSpire, is not just a seasoned ETRM expert. He’s an Endur and Openlink Practice Lead for the India region and the delivery lead for two US-based projects. Not to mention, he’s also acted as architect and interior designer; this is what happens when you’re hired as employee #001 for capSpire India.

INDIA EXPANSION

In 2021, capSpire was ready to officially expand operations in India. While there had been consultants working in the country, Vignesh was brought on board to solidify a capSpire entity in  Bangalore. He wasn’t just entrusted with handling the Endur Center of Excellence practice but also with choosing everything from the office location to the desk chairs.

Vignesh asked all the important questions with future employees in mind: Is this office near good food options? How is the pantry space designed? Is this location easily reachable for employees? capSpire cares about its workers, and Vignesh took creating a comfortable and modern office space seriously.

“It was a humbling journey,” Vignesh says. “It was very rewarding. Along with the company’s growth, getting the office started has directly shaped my development as a leader.”

Today, over 100 employees work for capSpire in India.

DOING THINGS RIGHT THE FIRST TIME

“It’s not often you get to contribute to a company in this way,” he says. Perhaps setting up this new office was such a special opportunity for Vignesh because he believes in doing things right the first time by taking a smart, efficient approach.

Thinking about the future–whether it’s cubicle design or scalable software for a client–is always at the forefront of Vignesh’s approach to his work at capSpire. “Clients trust us because we think about the long term. We always ask how we’re adding value. We don’t take the easy way out.”

GLOBAL COLLABORATION

A collaborative approach that knows no borders means capSpire employees across the globe find ways to share knowledge and resolve challenges.

Direct feedback and acknowledgment reinforce a culture of teamwork, sharing, and helping. Providing positive feedback and recognition drives capSpire’s culture. “At the end of the day, we want a positive work environment,” explains Vignesh. Whether it’s a junior or senior consultant, capSpire employees are given equal opportunities and responsibilities. “We do not micromanage,” he explains. “People feel empowered and trusted. And when they need support, they know we’re always there to help.”

PERSONAL GROWTH, CHALLENGES, AND HAPPINESS

Vignesh was entrusted to make decisions about the company’s first office, a professional development opportunity that he never expected but that helped him grow in new ways. This type of growth, which challenges employees out of their comfort zone, with the proper support and resources, leads to happy employees.
