ACHIEVING EFFICIENCIES AND DRIVING MORE VALUE
Lisa Garcia, Principal Consultant, knows the RightAngle platform inside and out, not just as a 12-year veteran of capSpire, but because she began her C/ETRM career at SolArc, (currently known as ION), a market leader in crude oil and refined products trading software.
After 11 years at SolArc, Lisa took a couple of years off to be a mom. It was difficult being a consultant with demanding hours and a busy travel schedule that kept her away from her young family more than she would have liked. But Lisa had deep and intricate knowledge of the RightAngle product, and capSpire reached out with an opportunity that respected Lisa’s capacity and availability.
“capSpire will do the right thing for the right people.”
In 2013, Lisa joined the team, helping customers with integrations and upgrades.
While Lisa loved being on the delivery side of things, her passion was support work, helping clients in various business scenarios find the best way to achieve efficiencies and drive more value. Getting back to a support role was a personal career goal she shared with her supervisors. So in 2019, when capSpire received its first Operations opportunity, Lisa became the inaugural member of the Operations and Support team.
“capSpire listens to your ambitions and what you’re passionate about, and tries to work with you to make those things happen.”
TRUST, RESPECT, AND BELIEVING IN A BETTER WAY
12 years later, Lisa’s role has gone through a tremendous transformation, but the values that brought her to capSpire, like Trust and Respect, haven’t changed at all. Believing in a better way also holds true today. “It’s a statement that has been with us since I started at capSpire. For example, you may have a client who does something a certain way just because they have always done it that way. It’s my job to say, ‘But does that still work for you? Is it still efficient? Does it still make sense?’” For Lisa, it’s about taking a 10,000-foot view. This is how capSpire finds better ways for its clients.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE–IN THE INDUSTRY AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES
In the Tulsa office, capSpire is also finding ways to support the local community, exemplifying a critical capSpire value inside and outside the office: Make a Difference. “capSpire supports us wanting to give back,” Lisa says. “Volunteering and doing things for somebody other than yourself is a big piece of personal growth.”
In her spare time, Lisa is a Meals on Wheels volunteer, a passion she brought to the office as a member of the Community Service Committee. She speaks fondly of this past December when the Tulsa office banded together to adopt a local family for the holidays. “Everybody chipped in. I’ve never seen so many gifts. Everybody in the office was so excited about it.” At a consulting firm like capSpire, where billable hours matter, Lisa finds the encouragement around community engagement both unusual and special. “They support us wanting to give back,” she says.
