capSpire Hires Dale Emmerson as Managing Director, Business Development

Houston, Texas – October 28, 2024 – capSpire is pleased to announce that Dale Emmerson has joined the organization as Managing Director, Business Development. With more than 30 years of experience in the energy & commodity trading and risk management (E/CTRM) space, ranging from creating the first tradeable electricity contracts in Europe to building and implementing E/CTRM systems, launching E/CTRM practices, guiding strategy, and helping organizations scale, Dale seeks to capitalize on capSpire’s momentum and drive global growth around consulting services and technology offerings.

“We are thrilled to have Dale on our team, with his vast array of E/CTRM experience on the vendor and client side, as well as his work as an independent consultant for the last decade. As a former client of Dale’s at a previous company, I’ve known him for a long time and have worked closely with him over the years. I am confident that Dale is the right leader to help us take advantage of the current marketplace, communicate our value to the right target audiences, and enable achievement of our growth goals around the world,” said Dave Webb, Managing Director at capSpire.

According to Dale, the current marketplace is the busiest and most dynamic he has seen in his entire career. The energy transition is bringing new participants and new commodity types into the market, which is spurring innovation along with increased complexity and volatility. Geopolitical factors add further challenges and uncertainties. Additionally, many companies in the commodities industry that have operated in this space for the long term now need to upgrade, augment, or replace their legacy technology to adapt to these changing circumstances and remain competitive. This scenario presents valuable opportunities for capSpire.

“capSpire is perfectly positioned to assist clients in better aligning their technology stack with business needs and market demands while reducing costs and support requirements and enhancing efficiency,” said Dale.

In his role, Dave plans to align brand messaging and client relationship development to emphasize one key point: the full scope of capSpire’s capabilities.

“capSpire is distinctive for not just being ‘a technology consultancy.’ Leveraging our deep expertise in CTRM technology, business, and the energy industry, we provide a comprehensive, end-to-end offering that includes advisory, delivery and implementation, and ongoing operations and support. We are 100% committed to this sector and it’s ingrained in our company culture to always find the better way for each client, above our own interests and profits,” said Dale.

“This is an incredibly unique value proposition in our industry and my mission is to tell more prospective customers about it.”

“For me personally, I’ve spent a lot of time in the CTRM space and capSpire is the first organization I’ve encountered that specializes in this niche—it’s really refreshing to be in a place where everyone speaks the same language, has a high level of knowledge on this topic across the organization, and shares the same goals. And, with capSpire’s capability to scale on a global level, right now is a very exciting time to be part of this team.”
