Houston, TX – February 11, 2025 – capSpire is pleased to announce that Shannon Lien has joined the company as Director of Marketing, North America. Shannon’s appointment marks capSpire’s commitment to a robust, holistic marketing function to support the company’s global objectives.
Based in Houston, TX, Shannon is responsible for expanding capSpire’s presence across the U.S. and Canadian energy markets, with a focus on strategic growth, brand awareness, and deepening client relationships.
“Shannon brings extensive experience in marketing, public relations, and client engagement. Her ability to craft impactful messaging and execute data-driven strategies has been instrumental in driving brand perception and business growth in the energy sector,” said Jim Kiser, capSpire CEO.
Shannon’s diverse leadership, public relations, and advertising experience is an asset to capSpire. In her prior role, she served as a marketing leader focused on advisory and technology implementation services in the energy and commodity risk management space, providing her deep knowledge of the industry landscape, including the critical organizations, events, and partnerships important for capSpire’s continued growth.
“There is an incredible opportunity to strengthen our leadership in the CTRM/ETRM space. My top priority is establishing partnerships with all North American practice leads to uncover their needs and drive impactful marketing strategies to elevate capSpire’s brand presence across the industry. With the energy sector evolving rapidly, capSpire is well-positioned to lead – and with this momentum, the sky is truly the limit,” says Shannon.
Shannon’s focus on messaging and brand positioning will aid capSpire in educating potential C/ETRM clients about the company’s capabilities and global breadth.
“We have always relied on word of mouth,” says Cathy Hughes, Managing Partner, North America. “Our clients are our best marketing, and I don’t expect that to change. But now we need to bring the message that our clients know and share to the market in a more formal way. Shannon’s approach to prospect and market engagement will help achieve this.”
In addition to capSpire’s reputation in the market and burgeoning opportunities in the C/ETRM industry, the company’s culture was a key factor in Shannon joining the team.
“I was eager to join such a collaborative and forward-thinking organization. From day one, it became clear that capSpire’s reputation was well-earned. The culture of teamwork, innovation, and positivity has exceeded my expectations,” says Shannon.
