capSpire Announces Hiring of Kayne Coulter as Managing Director, Advisory

Tulsa, OK – July 26, 2024 – capSpire is thrilled to share that Kayne Coulter has joined the organization as a Managing Director, Advisory. In this role, he brings a wealth of knowledge in power and natural gas markets to the Advisory team.

One of the key qualities we look for in our team members is a deep understanding of the industry, with real-world experience in the types of businesses we work with. With his systems knowledge and power-trading experience, Kayne will be a great asset to us as we continue capSpire’s expansion into the power and natural gas space. Hiring him was an incredibly easy decision,” said Mike Strickland, Managing Director, Advisory, at capSpire.

A well-known figure in the power and natural gas industry with a highly regarded reputation, Kayne brings more than 25 years of experience covering power trading and commodity trading and risk management (CTRM) systems at a number of different organizations, such as Deutsche Bank, Cinergy-Duke-Fortis, and Lucido Group. Starting as a power trader in 1998, Kayne’s professional resume encompasses everything from managing real-time power desks to building custom energy software, including at major vendors like Allegro and ION. This diverse and unique blend of expertise makes him valuable to clients and fellow team members alike.

Kayne has walked in our clients’ shoes.  This experience is incredibly valuable when working with clients, and helping them determine their needs, decide which technology is the right fit for their particular business, and understand how their business could operate in an optimal environment,” said Nicole deBoer, Managing Director, Allegro Practice. “The benefit of having worked for a breadth of organizations is that Kayne has had exposure to different processes and approaches to situations.. He has a clear grasp on what works well and what doesn’t, and possesses an innovative, think-outside-the-box mindset.”

Furthermore, Kayne has a wonderful ability to explain complex concepts in a way that makes sense to people with little to no experience in the power and natural gas industry. We anticipate that he will be an excellent mentor and resource to our junior consultants as they learn and grow within the industry.”

For Kayne, deciding to join the capSpire team was an easy decision as well.

I have such a passion for helping clients analyze their software options and identify the right path forward,” said Kayne. “And I’m very excited that capSpire sees beyond the consulting world and is actively growing their advisory business. I appreciate the culture here of not boxing ourselves in, but instead really looking at how we can help businesses, build relationships with clients, and enable them to grow.”
